Yesterday night I saw news bulletin saying around two-thousand people died in Jakarta, Indonesia due to earthquake. Just few months back on October 8, a strong earthquake caused ten of thousands of people died and displaced in Pakistan. I guess we are not taking it seriously!!!

Then again in the morning the DAWN In-Newspaper Magazine Sci-Tech came out with the cover story on earthquake and recalling the death of 30,000 people in Quetta earthquake in 1930's. People die not due to earthquake rather due to collapse of buildings and tsunamis. If we observe then we know that how Japan has taken a strong step of making all their buildings earthquake resistant thus now with regular quakes there are no more casualties there.

We should do something as a human to protect us and saves ourselves. The great and extremely useful and innovative micro-insurance concepts has been there and introduced by AKDN. But still there is a long way to go...
